Telecommunications Technician Job -> Immediate Opening for a Cellular
Telephone Switching Office Engineer or CTSO Engineer) in the Dallas,
Detroit, or Newark, NJ. Candidate will be responsible for the following:1.
Trouble Ticket Management - Responsible for opening, updating / managing
and closing site issues, trouble tickets, enhancement requests. 2. Tier
2 level troubleshooting including; Perform hardware and equipment fault
detection, troubleshoot third party applications, work closely with
System and Software Engineers to resolve product problems. 3. System
engineering - Ability to quickly assimilate to configuration and identify
improvements. 4. Proactive monitoring - Generate monthly system healthchecks,
monitor the operability and reliability of networks, track and report
relevant Networking and application performance metrics. 5. Customer
relationships - TCS technical representative to Customers, manage customers
expectations and lead to desired outcome. Knowledge of the following
is necessary: basic computer hardware installation / troubleshooting,
DNS, TCP/IP networking including router, hubs, firewalls and VPN. Familiarity
with TCP/IP, SS7, and prior work in telecommunication industry a plus.
Candidate must have a BSEE or a BS in Computer Science with at least
1 year experience in the following areas: UNIX / UNIX Networking , UNIX
Scripting and SQL Scripting, Oracle, Network Management tools / utilities
