Qualifications:
• Hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Experience with XML, DHTML, Perl, PHP, and AJAX.
• Java and/or C/C++ coursework also preferred.
• Graphic design experience for page layout and feature graphics
(PhotoShop. Corel or similar).
• Familiar with web server platforms, protocols, and applications
including Apache, Unix, DBI/Oracle, HomeSite, and Toad.
• Good understanding of relational and/or object-oriented database
technologies.
• Working knowledge of version control systems such as VSS,
CVS or similar.
• Familiar with quality assurance methodologies and processes.
• Flash and Actionscript skills also a plus.
• Excellent English communications/writing skills. Additional
languages a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple, simultaneous small web projects with daily
release schedules while juggling larger, long-term projects.
• Projects range from simple daily updates with copy/paste HTML
to creating more complex, dynamic pages utilizing DHTML and Javascript
to create a software-like, drag-and-drop web interface.
• Design, implement, test and debug dynamic internet features
with cross-browser, cross-operating system compatibility.
• Closely following product specifications with a high level
of quality and end-user satisfaction.
• Introduce advanced CSS techniques and implementation for controlling
page positioning and look.
• Estimate time for project milestones, track time, and stick
to tight deadlines while adhering to user requirements and quality
standards.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance engineers in unit testing
and problem resolution.
• Work alongside project managers, database and software engineers
in multiple departments to move a project to completion.
Educational
Requirements:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
