We are currently looking for a Medical Billing / Collector to join our
team!
Medical Billing / Collector position description:
* Reviews Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms and secures payments from
Hospital carriers, HMO/PPO, all insurance types, Private carriers, as
well as Patients (Private Payer)
* May be required to work with management to examine the claims procedure,
and set up invoicing process
* Solid customer service skills and attention to detail are essential
* Ensures that claims are billed and re-billed in a timely and appropriate
manner so that proper payment is received
* Re-submits rejected claims and follows up with payers Requirements
for Medical Billing / Collector position:
* Must have the basic understanding of ICD-9/CPT-4 and or HCPCS coding
system
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient on Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook
* Knowledge of insurance submittal procedure and medical forms (including
UB92 / UB04 / HCFA1500)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to keep current with policy changes
* Requires excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with Hospitals,
Insurance carriers, and/or Patients
