For over 23 years, Hoffman Marketing Communications, Inc., has provided
high quality writing services to clients in the electric utility industry.
We are widely respected for our services in this area. And now, we need
to add another writer (employee) to our core team immediately. Are you
this writer? The
winning candidate will be able to work full-time from their home,
wherever that may be. Yes, this is a full telecommute position –
no relocation is necessary. We have operated this virtual model for
over eight years, with great success. For this position, we need an
electric power writer who has written about a variety of topics in
the electric utility industry for industry insiders, not consumers.
These topics include global climate change, electric power delivery,
the smart grid, electric power generation, power plant emission control
systems, electric energy storage, wind power generation, and related
topics.
Requirements
Job responsibilities
include reviewing existing materials, interviewing clients by phone,
synthesizing information, outlining, writing, editing, and incorporating
comments. The winning candidate must be self motivated (to work effectively
from home), employ effective telephone interviewing skills, be knowledgeable
of the electric power industry, work productively, be highly organized,
and produce high quality written deliverables. The writer will produce
marketing materials, papers, articles, reports, and other documents.
To Apply We are not able
to train our writers on these topics, so please do not apply unless
you have written extensively in this area and can provide at least
five writing samples on these electric utility industry topics. Candidates
will be judged primarily on the relevance of the sample documents
they have written in the electric power industry. Candidates must
have at least a bachelor’s degree and significant experience
