Language Production Editor contract position
Our client is the leading pregnancy and parenting website in the US.
They are looking for a part-time (30 hrs/wk) Editor for its US Spanish
site. Work on-site in our San Francisco office. The assignment would
be 3-4 months.
Responsibilities
•
Edit articles to ensure they achieve the quality standards of Client
• Translate content from English and adapt it for a Hispanic
audience • Fact check content for accuracy
• Write copy for display on the website, i.e. on the Homepage
• Prepare all articles, including internal and related links,
upload new articles, resize and upload new images, and edit existing
content to add links to newly authored content
• QA content on the site: grammar, spelling, punctuation, format,
spacing, consistency
• Refresh the homepage and other areas of the site as needed
• Analyze specific traffic reports (Omniture)
Requirements:
• Native Spanish-speaker with excellent written Spanish and
English skills
• At least 3 years' experience creating content for US Hispanics,
as an editor or journalist
• A demonstrated understanding of online practices and technology
that help create compelling Web content
• At least 1 year's experience working for a website and using
basic html coding
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• A knowledge of pregnancy, health, and parenting subject matter
• A BA/BS is required (Grado
universitario)
