Shift:
Day shift
Hours: 16 Hrs./Bi-Weekly/9a.-5p.Thursdays
Responsibilities: Provides supervision for students
of the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Extended Intern Program of
Upper Chesapeake Health. In conjunction with the Spiritual Care Coordinator,
plans, implements, supervises and evaluates CPE intern program. Assists
in the development and implementation of standards of practice, policies
and procedures that guide and support the provision of pastoral care
by CPE interns. Assists in the writing and editing of the CPE Student
Handbook specific to Upper Chesapeake Health. Performs designated
administrative responsibilities for the Clinical Pastoral Education
program of UCH. Assists and participates in CPE programmatic education
activities. Complies with UCH Performance Improvement and Productivity
programs for the department. Performs additional tasks and functions
as needed and directed to support the CPE program. Interacts with
patient/family populations from all cultural, ethnic and socio-economic
backgrounds.

job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree.
Masters Degree in Divinity or Pastoral Counseling preferred. Ordination/licensure
and formal recognition as a chaplain by an established faith group
required. Certification/board certification by one of the following
required: Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association
of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains. Certification
as Supervisor, Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. required.
Knowledge of various spiritual and diverse religious and cultural
beliefs and practices. Knowledge of community and congregational resources,
dynamics of loss and grief, psychosocial adjustment to illness and
hospitalization and medical record documentation required.
