Central Kansas Medical Center is a two-campus,
99 bed, regional acute care hospital serving a population of 60,000.
The primary campus, CKMC, is located in Great Bend. The second campus,
St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, is located in Larned, twenty miles southwest
of Great Bend. Central Kansas Medical Center was founded by the Dominican
Sisters.

IS LOCATED IN GREAT BEND, KANSAS
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, transcribe pathology reports
using a Dictaphone. Perform general office duties such as answering
the telephone, filing, billing and assisting patients with insurance
billing.
Essential
Duties:
Demonstrate a professional, appropriate, effective
and tactful written, verbal and nonverbal communication with patient,
families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments
throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and
service and enhance clinic image.
Demonstrate positive professional customer service in all patient,
staff and visitor contacts.
Acknowledge patients rights on confidentiality issues, maintain patient
confidentiality at all times and follow HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Proactively acts as patient advocate by responding to and work to
resolve patient concerns.
Maintain an organized system for the progression of all medical records
and the super bill through the chart process (i.e., retrieving, transporting,
locating, copying and accurately filing the patients chart).
Follow a prescribed clinic protocol for the transferring of medical
records.
Follow a prescribed procedure for the creation, organization, maintenance
and/or purging of medical records (i.e., order of records, repair
of folders, filing of specific reports, typing and filing, and tracking
deceased or transfer of patient records).
