MUST KNOW HOSPITAL BILLING
POSITION SUMMARY:

North Texas Hospital is looking for minimum 0 yrs experience as a Biller in the healthcare industry. Candidate must have strong knowledge of patient accounting in the capacity of Biller, Follow-up Representative, or Collector. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of all payors including, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Managed Care, Workers’ Comp. and Self Pay.
Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.

Answers questions from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies.
Works insurance reports daily and updates and corrects claims
Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.
Performs various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers.
Maintains confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Maintains electronic and paper tracking logs to identify trends
Makes recommendations for changes to patient accounting system to insure claim’s are clean and in compliance

Ideal candidate must be attentive to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and a self directed individual with a personable demeanor. Responsibilities include contacting insurance companies and/or patients regarding overdue accounts, research and follow up on claims, claim denials and the resubmission of claims.

Requirements REQUIREMENTS:
