NEC
Electronics America has an extensive network of regional sales and
representative offices with over 200 distributor offices throughout
North America.
Reports directly to the MMAG VP & is considered
a key part of the business unit support staff. Provides admin support
primarily for the MMAG VP. Makes travel arrangements, fills out expense
reports, schedules & leads conf calls, takes minutes, has the
ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, follows-up
on action items, has the ability to pick up undone/unassigned items
without request, coordinate mtgs & events as needed. Must be able
to work with all levels of management, prepare presentations, &
write correspondence for VP. Will manage email & calendar including
CC folder, responds when required to internal customers, notifies
VP on urgent matters that may arise & needs immediate attention.
Gets involved with managing purchase req's, expense report authorization,
& budget tracking. Must have a flexible schedule with the ability
to travel once or twice a year. Will also support MMCU GM (travel,
expenses, mtg prep) & team (travel) as needed to run business.
A four year degree or related experience or four+
years of VP Executive Administrative Assistance experience. Strong
utilization of MS Word, PowerPoint, & Excel required -- ability
to generate memos and presentations for internal and customer use.
Ability to take notes, actions, & minutes that are effective for
follow up & action item tracking. Experience with Adobe Acrobat
& Lotus Notes preferred. Experience with detailed international
& domestic travel arrangements ' including the preparation of
the VP's & GM's travel package & expense report. Excellent
writing & proofreading abilities are mandatory with an emphasis
on accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Must have the
maturity & judgment to work discretly with both sensitive &
confidential info. Ability to effectively comm w/ customers &
team. Ability to interact in a customer service environment. Demonstrate
a professional attitude & the ability to I/F with all levels of
the org(includes good phone & interpersonal skills). Team player
with the ability to work independently & exercise good judgment.
Ability to deal effectively with problems as they arise & react
to situations quickly & effectively. Ability to multi-task, prioritize,
organize their time, while meeting deadlines & maintaining a customer
first attitude. Self-starter with high energy, passion, strong initiative,
detail oriented, eager to learn with strong organizational & time
management skills. High level proficiency w/ Microsoft office a must.
Willing to perform related clerical tasks. Excellent written &
telephone skills, customer oriented, strong interpersonal skills with
a professional attitude & appearance.
