The Palo Alto Medical
Foundation for Health Care, Research and Education (PAMF) was founded
in 1930 as the Palo Alto Medical Clinic, one of the first outpatient
multispecialty physician groups in the country. Today, PAMF is a not-forprofit
health care organization that is a pioneer in both multispecialty group
medical practice and outpatient medicine. In 1981, PAMF was formed to
combine all complementary functions of community- based health care,
research and health education. In 1993, PAMF became an affiliate of
Sutter Health. In 2000 and 2002 respectively, Sutter Santa Cruz and
Camino Medical Group afiliated with PAMF, and helped to create the three
health care divisions: the Palo Alto Division, the Camino Division and
the Santa Cruz Division. Each division covers a different geographical
area, stretching from Santa Cruz north to San Mateo and into the East
Bay. We offer a full range of primary and specialty care, including
Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Allergy, Orthopedics, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine,
Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, and much more.The Palo Alto Division offers
more than 40 medical specialties, a full range of medical services and
state-of-the-art technology, including an electronic health record and
the most advanced diagnostic imaging and treatment equipment.
Hours listed are per a two week pay period. A non-profit
organization, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care,
Research and Education is a pioneer in a multi-specialty group practice
of medicine and outpatient medicine. It is nationally known for its
innovations in treatment methods and technology and is a leader in
health education. PAMF includes the Health Care Division, staffed
by physicians of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic; the Education Division;
and the Research Institute. With a total of 455 physicians, the Medical
Groups of the Foundation include: Palo Alto Medical Clinic, the Santa
Cruz Medical Clinic, and the Camino Medical Group. PAMF physicians
were listed among the "Top Docs" by San Francisco Magazine
and the "Best in the Valley" by San Jose Magazine.
Requirements include
high school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Medical
Assisting or LVN program approved by PAMF and/or equivalent; six months
acute or ambulatory care or related experience; CPR certification
required; AAMA, CCMA, or NAHRMA certification preferred; basic keyboarding
and computer abilities; excellent communication and organizational
skills; and flexibility.
