Job Description:
A reliable and knowledgeable individual is critical for this opening.
This position will report directly to the Billing and Collections
Manager. The ideal candidate for the Medical Collector/Insurance Follow-up
Specialist position is expected to be knowledgeable with the billing
and insurance denial codes and medical regulation guidelines.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Excellent working knowledge of insurance payment regulations
including various reimbursement schemes, coinsurance and deductibles,
and contractual adjustments.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Workman’s
Compensation and Commercial insurances.
• Must have a proven track record along with verifiable references.
• Computer literate.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a high volume and busy environment.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must possess excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
