S3C Inc. is a Silicon
Valley company designing and manufacturing sensors for automotive and
industrial applications. We have a full-time position available for
a Manufacturing Engineer located at our sub-contract facility in Thailand.
Job Description
This Manufacturing Engineer position will be located at S3C, Inc in
Sunnyvale CA and will be responsible for creating, documenting, developing,
and implementing, procedures used to assemble, process, test and manufacture
pressure sensor products supplied to customers all over the world. Occasional
foreign travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
• Participates in vendor selection, process development, continuous
improvement, and problem resolution
• Monitors and supports prototype/pilot build activities in
the factory
• Works with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality
Assurance to implement production launches.
• Responsible for establishment, maintenance and continuity
of the manufacturing process from plant layout, tooling, equipment
design, installation, and debug of tooling and capital equipment through
delivery to the customer.
• Coordinates with the US and Japan design engineering team
on designs and design changes to ensure effective transition into
manufacturing; Schedules MFG Engineering work load to achieve a smooth
implementation of work and changes.
• Improve overall process and related issues including process
development, scheduling, creating process documentation, product assembly
and production processing, problem solving, and program management.
• Responsible for quality systems such as ISO9000 and TS16949,
procedures, as required.
Job Requirements
• Good team skills
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties
and the design of plastic moldings, castings and machining parts.
• Knowledge of COB, SMT module assembly process
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Good organizational skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid works, Excel, PowerPoint and
Word
• Ability to learn new assignments and systems quickly.
• Familiarity with best in class engineering techniques such
as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Risk Analysis, design of experiments,
measurement and analysis of results
• Strong problem solving abilities and good understanding of
industry standards
• Optimizing design performance, quality
and cost.
