ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Sun IT Operations' TSO team has an career opportunity
for a Senior Oracle Apps 11i DBA in our Technical Services group.
This is a challenging role in which you will have the opportunity
to expose your production support skill, troubleshoot, performance/tuning
experience with SUN large Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2, Oracle 10g databases,
Oracle 10g RAC environment, Oracle 10g Data Gaurd, RMAN, OEM, SSO,
Discoverer, OID, SOA in S10 env.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Additional Skills:
Ensure effective and efficient operations within IT
Operations to help improve quality, availability and performance of
application/database environments
Knowledgeable about underlying Oracle Applications database architecture
schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables,
views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes,
& constraints.
Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) with ASM, QFS, RAW, OCFS or
similar Storage mechanisms. Project Mgmt Tools, Office productivity
tools, Apache Web Servers and JavaScripts.
Very good knowledge knowledge in Sun Cluster to troubleshoot middle
and Back end tiers managed in clustered Solaris environments
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Computer Science (or related field) with
8 to 10 years experience in administering/supporting Oracle database/
Oracle application environments, of which at least 3 to 4 years in
a senior role. Customer service skills are also a prerequisite and
must be outstanding as this role involves constant interaction with
highly technical end users, teams and service partners. Inter-personal
communications and team-building skills are also important. Required
Skills: Senior Apps DBA /Engineer/Consultant proficiency in following
Areas:
Oracle Database Administration 10g/9i
Oracle Application 11i Administration
Oracle 10g RAC Administration
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
BS
