Play a major role in our growth by providing an exceptional
customer experience throughout our store:
1. Truck Unload and Overnight Freight Teammates handle
all merchandise being delivered to the store: unloads semi-trailer
trucks; stock merchandise on the sales floor; returns and accurately
places excess stock in the back room. Overnight teammates receive
an additional $1 per hour shift differential.
2. General Merchandise Sales Floor Teammates provide ShopKo customers
with exceptional service: answer questions, take customers' calls,
and use suggestive selling techniques to drive sales. Maintain Hard/Home
Departments' stock, display and recovery standards. Assist with ad
sets. Stock merchandise as needed. Assist with cart pick-up and customer
carry-outs.
3. Home Entertainment Sales Floor Teammates provide ShopKo customers
with exceptional service: answer questions on TVs, DVDs, VCRs, video
game systems, phones, remotes and home sound systems; take customer
calls on installation and use of all electronics equipment; use suggestive
selling techniques to drive sales, including extended warranties.
Requirements include but are not limited to
the following:
1. Exemplary
commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
2. Aptitude and knowledge of home electronics and/or general merchandise.
3. High school equivalent reading and math skills.
4. Prior retail industry experience preferred.
5. Must be able to stay focused and work at a fast pace while performing
repetitive tasks.
6. Detail-oriented for handling merchandise and stock room logistics.
7. Must be able to move around sales floor for extended periods.
8. Requires repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds when unloading semi-trailer
trucks and re-stocking the back room.
9. Requires repetitive ladder stepping to stock merchandise, using
up to a 6 foot ladder.
10. Must demonstrate physical agility (bending, twisting, reaching,
pulling) for handling merchandise.
11. Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends to meet the needs
of the store.
