Job Description:
Pearson Curriculum
K-12 digital solutions team serves the public, private and charter
school communities in a designated district territory. The account
executive's role is to prospect, qualify and build relationships with
new customers, and retain and extend those relationships with our
existing client base. The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales
professional, able to promote the value sales model, within the education
industry. A thorough understanding of curriculum, instructional objectives,
state standards and legislative requirements for schools is
Vital to the success of this role, as well as a working knowledge
of the relevant grants and funding environment. Experience with sales
pipeline and forecasting, competitive intelligence,
and strong technology affinities are essential qualities for this
role. This position requires the account executive to become well
versed in the product , beyond basic features and benefits as they
work closely with customers to determine the optimal solutions to
meet the needs of teachers, administrators and most importantly, the
students. The account executive will maintain a home office and must
spend a minimum of four days in the field working with customers,
be self directed and focused on the achievement of revenue
goals.
