As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be charged
with establishing and monitoring care standards and making recommendations
for changes as needed. Key functions will include collaborating with
the nursing staff in assessing patient and family age-specific nursing
needs and developing a plan of care for high-risk patients, in addition
to evaluating the effectiveness of the care provided. The CNS will
also be relied on to design teaching programs for patients/families.
This will involve assessing staff knowledge and identifying competency-based
education needs of staff and members. Responsibilities will include
introducing new techniques/innovations, making recommendations to
change standards of care or standards of practice, and defining/implementing
best nursing practices.
Job Requirements
Candidates must possess a BSN and MSN in nursing.
Current California RN licensure, BLS certification and California
CNS certification required. We are in search of a candidate possessing
three years’ experience and clinical expertise in area of specialty.
Must have an NPI or be able to obtain an NPI prior to employment start
date.
