We are staffing our newest
Regional Office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to serve clients throughout
the South Central Region of the US. We have immediate openings for
Telecommunications Specialists who will be responsible for the design,
stability and integrity of our client's multi-faceted data and telephony
systems.
Overview
of Responsibilities:
* Accountable for the
planning, design and coordination of major telecommunications projects
and all communication links
* Manage the voice and data network services while implementing change
control and documentation processes
* Serve as resident expert to troubleshoot and solve complex customer
issues that have been escalated internally
* Support and promote teams, project managers, and business leaders
in our corporate mission, values and goals
* Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
with tight deadlines
* Approach assignments with a “can do” attitude. Seek
guidance and review in completing tasks to meet schedule, budget,
and quality, as appropriate
* Perform product and technology research as assigned. Lead evaluation
of capabilities and cost of new and available technologies
Key skill sets desired
include: Avaya, Cisco, PBX, VOIP, VPN Design, ANI/ALI, Telecom CPE,
and Next Generation Networks
Preferred certifications
include: CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCVP, ACS, ACE, MCP, and MCSE
Requirements
Associate or bachelor's
degree in a related field is preferred. Three to five years experience
in a network engineering environment working with telecommunications
and data networks is required. The successful candidates must have
a strong consultative focus with a proven track record designing,
implementing and supporting complex data and telephony solutions,
including hands on experience with Avaya and/or Cisco. Comprehensive
understanding of call center features; proven diagnostic and troubleshooting
skills; strong configuration and networking skills are required. Knowledge
of LAN/WAN Communications, ANI/ALI controllers, trunked radio and
CAD are pluses. Candidates should be self-disciplined, flexible, resourceful,
possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability
to travel or be on-call at least thirty percent of the time is a must.
Background with Public Safety/DHS or E9-1-1 communications technologies
is preferred.
