MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma; G.E.D.
or equivalent work experience. Minimum one year experience in consumer
sales, marketing and customer service. Demonstrates ability and desire
to advance skills in various areas of personal finance including investments,
insurance, mortgage, etc. Demonstrated personal computer skills. Demonstrated
typing skills by sight. Demonstrated verbal communication, sales,
marketing and service skills, which meet Bank of Hawaii's established
standards.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Consumer Banking
Representative is responsible for opening accounts, sales, and other
related duties to include maintaining a portfolio of high value consumer
clients. Serves as a liaison for sales and servicing of financial
services and products. Actively seeks to convert prospects to clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for
providing personal service to an assigned portfolio of high value
consumer clients focusing on retention and building/deepening relationships.
Maintains and sells financial services to clientele by addressing
both long-term and short-term goals through profiling. Position requires
extensive knowledge of Bank of Hawaii products and services. Must
be able to push/lift 30 lbs. Must be able to work evenings, weekends
and holidays as assigned. Actively sells financial services including
referrals to cross-functional units as appropriate. Interviews, processes
applications, and closes for all consumer credit products. Provides
high level of quality service to customers. Identifies and secures
new high and/or potentially high value consumer clients. Responsible
for managing calling efforts, referrals, sales tracking and prospecting
to achieve personal sales goals and contribute to the overall unit/district
goals. Performs Meeter/Greeter role in an assigned branch on a rotating
basis. The Meeter/Greeter is responsible for meeting and greeting
each person who enters the branch to assure that their needs are appropriately
met by demonstrating and educating clients of the various delivery
channels available for their banking convenience. May be required
to stand for extensive periods of time. Responsible for keeping informed
of current bank policies, procedures, federal laws and regulations
as well as maintains strong knowledge of all new products, programs
and sales promotions. May provide Notary Public Service for customers.
