Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent
medical office experience.
Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both
verbally and written.
Must possess the physical ability and sensory acuity to satisfactorily
perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
Must have excellent team working skills, effective interpersonal skills,
time management skills and ability to work using own initiative.
Must be able to handle quick paced, environment.
Must have basic computer knowledge, and typing skills.
Must be familiar with OSHA, CLIA and HIPAA standards. Summary
To provide patient care support to the physicians, nurse practitioners,
and clinic manager in caring for patients independently and with minimum
supervision. In addition, perform the duties listed within this job
description along with other diverse duties as requested or required.

Duties & Responsibilities
Efficient and timely rooming and preparation of patients for clinic
appointments.
Asks patients any questions that are on the office visit sheet and
complete VS/weight.

Notifies (briefs) the physician prior to going in to the room
A. reason for visit
B. Type of cycle
C. Any concerns
Ensure
patient charts are screened and ready for physician
• Paperwork is correct and all information is filled out and
complete
• Tracks down all pending ordered tests or procedures
• Notifies patient if any information is incomplete (missing
lab work, etc.)
• Notifies physician of any problems or concerns the patient
has verbalized
• Obtains vital signs as needed
Provide
patient education and health teaching as appropriate
• Writes any orders for the patient(s) as ordered by the physician
• Prints any articles as ordered by the physician
• Reviews directions or instructions to patient(s) regarding
any tests
or procedures the physician has ordered.
• Writes any prescriptions as ordered by the physician
• Assists in scheduling patient appointments with the reception
desk
Assist Providers
during the patient examinations.
Room turnover, and stocking. Venipuncture
Instrument cleaning and sterilization Screen & prep charts
Weekend duties Lab & report results processing
Injection training Inventory
HCG instructions Lab requisitions
Basic cycle review WinMed scheduler
OR scheduling And all other duties as directed.
Phone triage
