Overview
Financial Reporting Operations provides shared services in support of
the financial control community within Citigroup. It is guided by principles
to provide best in class execution capabilities through improved controls,
standard platforms, processes and optimal cost efficiency.
Responsible for the reconcilement and research of general ledger accounts
to the source system and/or source transactional documents . Also responsible
for preparing journal entries and other necessary schedules to maintain
the G/L accounts. Responsible to pull automated reports from back-end
financial reporting or financial systems. Assist in month end process
by recording all journal entries timely.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
Reconciliation and research of general ledger accounts to the subprocessor
Prepare journal entries
Assist in month end process
Specifications / Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent experience. .
Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel is required
2-3 years of general ledger account reconciliation experience is required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills is required
Proficiency in general ledger and financial systems is a plus
Ability to work at a fast and accurate pace is important in this environment
due to rapid growth
