Summary
of Duties:
The Clinical Education
Specialist (CES) at Bayfront Medical Center acts as a role model and
change agent, develops the bedside nurse, foster’s empowerment
through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of research
based, cost effective nursing care. Bayfront Medical Center encourages
variations in the CES practice to meet the needs of the diverse units
and the global needs of the organization. The CES is responsible for
creating a professional nursing climate within the organization. The
CES is a interdisciplinary team member responsible for working collaboratively
with Patient Care Services Nursing Educators in supporting house wide
education programs as needed and competent to do so. The PeriOperative
Clinical Education Specialist is considered a integral part of the
departmental leadership team and may be asked to assume leadership
oversight responsibilities as necessary for departmental benefit.
Requirements
Must have BSN and Master’s Degree.
Must have State of Florida RN license, CPR training and specialty
certification.
Prefer BCLS/ACLS Instructor certification.
Must have 5 plus years of clinical experience in nursing specialty,
Information Technology skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Prefer Research skills, proficient Critical Thinking skills, standards
development experience and experience with staff education.
Must have ability to teach the adult learner at all levels.
Must have Preceptor/Mentor skills, excellent Customer Service skills,
and Leadership
skills.
