POSITION
DESCRIPTION
Provides daily
administrative and clerical assistance to the assigned department
(Corporate, Commercial, Private, Business or Executive Banking) in
the areas of loans, deposits and account servicing. Provides excellent
customer service on the phone and in person by answering inquiries
promptly and courteously. Works with the Department Manager and Officers
to open new and service existing accounts. Cross-sells products and
services. Maintains Daily Transaction Journal and New Loan Report.
Reviews loan documentation and sends to customer. Provides administrative
and clerical support to team members as needed; creates and maintains
filing system and coordinates special projects. May accompany Officers
on customer calls. Coordinates customer service process with various
bank departments to ensure timely resolution of issues and problems.
Adheres to compliance, security, state and Federal regulations, bank
policies, procedures and goals. Provides research on loan and deposit
accounts as needed. May train or assist other Banking Assistants.
Is familiar and complies with applicable company policies and all
banking regulations including, but not limited to BSA, USA Patriot/CIP
requirements, AML and other regulations. Other duties as assigned.
Banking Assistant
I, N15 - Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years directly
related experience. Full use and application of principles, theories
concepts & techniques. Working knowledge of lending functions,
bank products, procedures, compliance & regulations and customer
service.
Banking Assistant
II, N16 - Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years Banking
Assistant experience. Broad use and application of principles, theories,
concepts, and techniques. Proficient knowledge of lending functions,
bank products, procedures, compliance & regulations
and customer service.
