JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to provide the leadership, knowledge and commitment to provide
a safe and healthy environment to out employees; to promote continuous
business improvements with measurable results; to manufacture cost effective
and food safe products for our customer s and consumers; and adhere
to the company’s code of ethics and philosophy of 100% compliance,
100% of the time.
Accountable for all facets of the business that impact the production
operation, to include, but not limited to: operational efficiencies,
food safety, OSHA Compliance, workers compensation practices, record
keeping, employee training, new hire orientation, employee satisfaction
and environmental management.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
30% - Productivity Standards
Accountable to complete understanding of operational efficiencies and
measurements to include product yields, margins, throughput, product
specifications, etc. responsible to retain accurate records of productivity
to make productivity to make suggestions on process improvements and
submit goals to reduce operational costs in operational, supply, labor
and overhead variances.
20% Food Safety/Quality Assurance
Accountable to follow all Food Safety/Quality Assurance procedures according
to written specifications achieving acceptable quality and food safety
standards. Ensures HACCP, Hygiene and GMP programs are properly followed
by hourly employees. Responsible for good housekeeping and sanitation
practices. Ensures all record keeping is documented and maintained for
accuracy and decision making.
25% - Employee Relations/Satisfaction
Accountable for employee relations initiatives to include assistance
in hiring, employees satisfaction, training and development, discipline/grievance
resolutions, policy understanding and compliance, reward and recognition
programs and cultural diversity inclusion.
25% - Plant Safety/Workers compensation
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Food industry a strong plus
-Understanding and application of
HACCP, GMP’s OSHA, EMS and
Production Metrics

JOB TASKS:
- Prepares accurate daily production reports – Daily Specification
Report, Shift Priority Report, Downtime Reports, Efficiency Repot
- Attend weekly staff meetings – discuss department activity,
downtime, attendance , product trends and recommendations.
- Review and discusses with Superintendent weekly supply, labor, neat
and overhead variance reports with a continual focus improvement
