with us: SUMMARY:
Acting on behalf of and reporting directly to the Product Unit Manager,
this position is responsible for production and the direction of the
direct labor workforce in the manufacturing environment.
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervision, day to day welfare, and optimization of Direct Labor
work force.
2. Assure Quality and Production standards are met in each cell on
a daily basis.
3. Maintain social, ethical and organizational norms in job related
activity.
4. Monitor quality/output and coordinate the resolution of deficiencies.
5. Monitor design quality, process, equipment/tooling and manufacturing
systems with direction towards
making recommendations and implementing improvements.
6. Assist in the writing of job related procedures and other manufacturing
documents.
7. Participate in Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis as required.
8. Assist PLM in creation of departmental budget.
9. Responsible for the accurate accounting of departmental inventory.
10. Develops strategies for meeting production schedules and anticipates
obstacles.
11. Takes charge, directs, motivates, and coordinates the activities
of others towards the accomplishment of meaningful goals.
12. Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
13. Performs routine administrative duties associated with assigned
personnel and ensure compliance with all company work rules, policies
and procedures.
14. Ensures good housekeeping of assigned areas and compliance in
accordance with OSHA rules and regulations.
15. Must complete application and required documents for State of
Florida Blast er Permit in addition to preparing for and completing
the State Exam for Blaster Permit
16. Will be responsible for maintenance and security of explosives
storage magazine keys under his/her control as well as inventory and
inspection of the explosives storage magazines under his/her control.
17. Other duties as required.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
1. Understanding of and interest in Key Safety System's manufacturing
processes. Comfortable working with Production, Quality, Materials,
Engineering and Financial personnel.
2. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, leadership/supervisory
skills, organizational and problem solving skills.
3. Flexibility in work assignments. Experience in scheduling and prioritizing
work activities.
4. Versatility and willingness to rapidly adjust to peak workloads.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Ability to use computer to create and maintain complex tracking
systems.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates degree in any technical
discipline and relevant experience in an automotive manufacturing
environment. BA in technical discipline preferred. ASQC, CQE or CRE
desired.
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years supervisory experience
in a manufacturing environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in
manufacturing generant, electromechanical or mechanical product. Two
years of quality assurance participation.
SUPERVISION: This position reports directly to the
Product Unit Manager and supervises up to 60 employees in light industrial
assembly. Must be able to plan, coordinate and control independently
and effectively. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide
range of professional, managerial,
technical and unskilled people.
