Description/Purpose Of Position:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist acts as an expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher. In collaboration with nursing & medical staff, the CNS monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist acts as an expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher. In collaboration with nursing & medical staff, the CNS monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Master of Science in Nursing in area of specialization.

Technical Skills:
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the current Nevada State Board of Nursing Practice.

License/Certification:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. Certification in area of specialization is highly desirable. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification.

Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
