Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Make the necessary decisions to prepare claims
batches for Data Entry by researching history to determine duplicates,
and identify/input providers for all claims that will be data entered.
Data enter all claim batches in an accurate and efficient manner.
Coordinate daily workflow to coincide with check cycle days to meet
service guarantees.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned
as necessary):
1. Keep track of received data and source documents.
2. Prepare and sort source documents, and identify and interpret data
to be entered.
3. Contact providers to resolve questions, inconsistencies, and/or
missing data.
4. Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents
into computers following format displayed on screen, and enter necessary
codes with accuracy.
5. Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.
6. Keep accurate record of work completed.
7. Transmit entered information into database.
8. File or route source documents after entry.
9. Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.
10. Good time management skills are essential to be able to enter
data as accurately and efficiently as possible to keep up with the
on-going workload.
Job Requirements
DATA ENTRY
• INSURANCE EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED (ESPECIALLY MEDICAL/MEDICARE/CLAIMS)
• Reliable and responsible, sharp with low error rate
• Very good typing skills, 45+wpm
• Word and Excel skills
• Fast paced ability, team player, flexible.
