JOB SUMMARY
Under limited
guidance, responsible for the reduction and control of internal and
external float through analyzing, monitoring and generating operational
recommendations. Provide guidance and leadership while overseeing
department workflow, answer and resolve inquires to complex problems,
interfacing with other departments, bank affiliates, vendors, upstream
and downstream correspondent customers. Provide technical expertise
and support to projects affecting Item Processing and core system
applications as well as bank mergers and consolidations. Liaison with
Federal Reserve Bank and upstream correspondent banks.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following
are essential job accountabilities:
1. Guide the daily
activities within the Float department by reviewing various online
reports and those prepared by other department members.
2. Manage, coordinate, investigate and monitor daily cash letter procedures
from multiple ABCS processing sites, including incoming and outgoing
cash letters sent to and processed by upstream correspondents to ensure
that funds available for investment are maximized.
3. Maintain communication with manager and assist in implementing
changes in procedures and recommend improvements that could be made
within the functional area.
4. Provide ongoing web access support to internal users utilizing
correspondent bank Balance Reporting systems.
5. Contact correspondent banks and arrange for the proper payment
for all same day inclearing adjustments exceeding $200,000.
6. Provide technical expertise and support to internal AB departments
including Treasury Management and Correspondent Banking in creating
unique analysis reports from the AFT systems.
