Description
Manufacturing Company located in Charlotte, NC, has an immediate need
for a Cost and General Ledger accountant. This company offers great
benefits and rapid growth potential within the Finance Department of
this International Manufacturer.
Responsibilities
* Setting standard cost, manufacturing and material variance reporting
* Responsible for forecasting inventory monthly, and assisting in analysis
generation and its related accuracy. Maintain accurate work-in-progress
and perpetual inventory records
* Support and assisting the Controller in accomplishing the requirements
as set by the company
* Ensure that all accounting entries within the groups they support
are timely, accurate, and comply with GAAP
* Play an integral role in
* Implement and monitoring standard work procedures for product cost
tracking
* Prepare analyzing, and tracking monthly inventory reserves
* Prepare monthly inventory forecasts
* Assist in the preparation of the appropriate quarterly and annual
reporting packages
* Special projects as recommended by the Controller Requirements
* Candidates MUST have a BS in Accounting
* Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
* Must be able to close the books monthly
* Strong communication skills
* Must have a high energy level and an interest in interacting with
all levels within the Finance department
