Looking for a Coding Specialist, Registered Health
Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator
(RHIA). Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of five years
coding inpatient/outpatient experience. Must be able to apply official
ICD-9 CM coding guidelines. Must have effective organizational skills
and pay close attention to detail. Must possess excellent data entry
and computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Requires the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Must be able to interact professionally with peers, medical staff,
and hospital department representatives.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
General Experience:
Five (5) years of clinical office experience which
provided exposure to medical records. Special Experience: Prefer if
at least (1) year of the General Experience has been in a surgical
and non-surgical coding of physician services provided in a multi-specialty
organization; ability to work in a computerized environment; completion
of a formal accredited coding program, such as CPC or CCS-P.
