Job Description
tw telecom is currently seeking qualified candidates
for the position of Maintenance Network Analyst (MNA) I in our Denver,
CO location. The MNA skill level is a position that is structured
towards a higher level knowledge of Transport NOC policies, procedures,
systems and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain a 95% skill level expertise and sustain the
duties and responsibilities listed under an MNA position.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in Microsoft office product suits.
Monitor Surveillance Systems and respond to the events reported by
network devices in the following manner.
Create trouble tickets through a trouble ticketing system. Investigate
the alarms reported by remotely connecting to the device in question.
Once connected interrogate the device, identify root cause of the
issue, attempt to restore service through various troubleshooting
techniques, dispatch division personnel if needed.
This individual must be able to escalate internally as well as externally
using the appropriate procedures, in a timely and detailed manner.

Job Requirements
Must have a firm understanding of telecommunication
equipment, especially fiber optic and multiplexer devices, and be
able to remotely navigate through the systems and repair issues remotely.
Experience with Tellabs Digital Cross Connect Systems,
Lucent DDM, Lucent FT, Lucent Wavestar, DWDM Equipment, Nortel Classic
OC 3, OC 12, OC 48, Fujistu FLM series, Nortel Classic Series, Nortel
Must have the ability to solve complex problems requiring minimal
supervision.
Must also have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and
the ability to train and manage people.
Must be motivated to learn and take good notes on products services
and systems.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Weekend Rotation and On-Call Duty Rotation, and Potential
Off-Shift Hours.
