LabCorp is seeking
a Specimen Accessioner to work at our lab located in Princeton, WV.
This is a full time, benefited position working 30 hours/week from 4:30PM-11:00PM
Monday-Friday.
Duties include preparing laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations
prior to laboratory analysis and testing. Unpacking specimens from
branches or ports and routing specimens by type to various staging
areas. Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory
departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge,
separate serum, and blood smears. Aliquots sample for departments.
Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document
problem specimens.
Job Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Preference will be given to individuals with medical or science background/education
Must pass data entry test with a minimum score of 6000 KSPH with
a 4% or less error rate
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced atmosphere and working
with clinical lab specimens
Must be flexible in regards to schedule
