Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting telecommunications
geospatial data to include construction as-built drawings, utility
features, plan updates, and associated GIS data layer editing, management
and related map production.
Management
Scope: This position is non-supervisory.
Minimum
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems,
Geography, Computer Science or related discipline preferred
• Knowledge of telecommunications system (voice/data/video)
infrastructure and terminology
• Good cartographic skills preferred
• Direct experience with Federal Spatial Data Standards (SDSFIE)
preferred
• Solid understanding of relational database management systems
preferred
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct geospatial data compilation, editing and attribution.
2. Provide quality assurance for geospatial data issues.
3. Develop mapping products to facilitate information exchange.
4. Maintain compliance with Marine Corps and Federal Geospatial standards.
5. Utilize GIS software to manipulate data in a raster and vector
based geospatial environment.
6. Convert various data types into geodatabase feature classes.
7. Geospatial data analysis and modeling in a geodatabase.
