Job Description
Our Redwood City
Philanthropic Investment firm is seeking a Web Content Editor for
a contract to hire opportunity. The web content editor will drive
awareness and understanding by developing and managing the production
of online and offline content. The web content editor will focus primarily
on developing the organization’s online presence through content
management, writing and editing, graphic design and site management
and measurement working with senior management, staff and external
stakeholders. Responsibilities include working with communications
team, external vendors, and other stakeholders to develop strategic
and creative communication materials and content supporting the website,
collateral, and public relations campaigns . Crafting regular content
features, such as email newsletters and features highlighting the
impact of portfolio companies. Creating, developing and managing content
for organization’s web presence, working with content management
software, Drupal. Copyediting and proofreading all web content. Making
sure that a consistent look and feel is maintained throughout all
web pages. Developing and maintaining the master content calendar
for the website. Creating process for updating and managing ongoing
updates. Managing ongoing content creation to meet key deadlines and
keep site content refreshed. Assuring web-based information is archived
for future needs and reference. Tracking and reporting on site metrics
and performing SEO activities.

Qualifications
:
3+ years experience
writing, editing, and developing online and offline communications,
including managing content and production for websites; bachelor’s
degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field; knowledge
of HTML and experience with popular content management systems. Experience
with Drupal a strong plus; basic Adobe Photoshop skills a plus; experience
in venture capital, social sector, or technology a plus. Outstanding
attention to detail and the accuracy and prioritization of information
and the ability to manage complex projects from beginning to end,
securing participation from a variety of stakeholders.
