Job Requirements:
Typically possesses five or more years' experience in Telecommunications
or a Project Management related field. Typically possesses five or
more years of work experience managing and scheduling work activities
related to construction and engineering. Knowledge of and experience
with telecommunications operations and/or engineering and construction
disciplines. Demonstrated experience with relating to engineering,
construction, and maintenance processes and their scheduling and tracking.
Demonstrated communications skills in interfacing with diverse work
groups negotiating operation dates, schedules, and processing client
service requests. Experience working with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to accurately analyze information, integrate people processes,
systems, and technologies, and make strategic decisions regarding
project scope, impact, policy, development, and implementation. Must
demonstrate the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with
clients, peers, project personnel and all levels of management to
develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of AutoCAD LT, Visio, Telecommunication Business Solutions
(TBS), and SAP fundamentals. Knowledge of SONET, DWDM (Dense Wavelength
Division Multiplexing) and/or other related optical communication
systems. Project Management budget tracking experience.
Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support Network Operations by managing,
processing, scheduling, and tracking both the processing of Customer
orders (Activation Service Request) for Telecommunication services
and construction/ maintenance activities. Typical responsibilities
will include: serving as point of contact to manage, schedule and
track activities; updating various engineering systems, drawings,
and data bases as required on various customer orders and related
projects; preparing reports for management on service orders, projects,
and maintenance activities as required (monthly and ad hoc) and performing
other duties and responsibilities as required.
