The role of the Lead Faculty position is to work in
conjunction with the Program Director (PD) and Assistant Program Director
in managing the department in its delivery of curriculum and instruction
to Westwood students and to promote student success. The Lead Faculty
position serves as the secondary contact for students, faculty and
employees by maintaining a high level of visibility and actively soliciting
input to promote a positive learning environment and assumes all duties
and responsibilities of the Assistant Program Director in his or her
absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Teach a set and regular schedule of courses
o Assist in the scheduling of courses and instructors
o Establish prerequisites for course flow
o Resolve student and faculty issues
o Select and prepare curriculum
o Actively develop state of the art curriculum
o Ensure course continuity
o Participate in text book adoption
o Participate in Program Director calls
o Prepare appropriate documentation for program director retreats
o Participates in current program maintenance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
o Master’s Degree required. (Possible Bachelor’s
Degree at a minimum based on compliance with state licensing and regulator
requirements)
o Experience in faculty mentorship
o Course development experience in the eCollege system
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Strong attention to detail
o Strong knowledge of technology
o Experience in offering electronically delivered curriculum
o Experience with eCollege or other learning course management system.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS
COMPUTER EXPERIENCE
Must have solid knowledge of computer operations and
be able to operate a keyboard, mouse, be able to type, perform 10-key
accurately and have basic knowledge of email and spreadsheets, databases,
and word processing software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook,
web-based applications and CRM experience.
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret basic to complex documents
such as textbooks, instruction manuals, written compliance documentation,
to write basic to complex correspondence, to communicate professionally,
with clarity and brevity, required--both orally and in writing, and
to perform general mathematical calculations such as percents, addition,
subtraction and ability to make basic arithmetic calculations
