We are looking for a business analyst to join the
Dell DBI IT organization in Austin, TX to translate business and user
requirements into system requirement specifications for Dell's Software
and Peripherals (S&P) fulfillment application space. This individual
would act as the key interface between business and technology teams
in defining and influencing business requirements and would assist
in developing the appropriate system solutions. Key responsibilities
of the position include:
* Understanding the business implications of technical
solutions, and assisting in defining the technology solutions to support
any future business requirements.
* Soliciting, developing, documenting, and managing requirements throughout
project life cycle up to and through change control
* Working with the global business partners to define and analyze
problems
* Considering the business implications of the application of technology
to the current and future business environment
* Solving problems considering business process and environmental
changes.
* Contributing to the implementation of complex systems
* Acting as subject-matter expert on systems and business processes
* Managing relationships between business and I/T
Required Skills
* 8 years of professional experience (8 years directly
related to I/T or functional area) or equivalent combination of education/experience
* Advanced knowledge of systems scope definition through
needs analysis
* Advanced understanding of business systems and industry requirements
* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with senior level
business leaders
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
from business users
* Advanced communication and influential skills
* Ability to work effectively with business partners in different
geographic regions (APJ, EMEA, and the Americas).
