Job Description:
Conducts
level I through level III tier support for the Naval Research Laboratory
customer
Supports desktop systems software, hardware and network infrastructure
Installs, configures and troubleshoots Windows and Macintosh laptops,
desktops, and servers
Makes hardware and software purchase recommendations and obtains vendor
quotes
Communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical
personnel
Provides installation, assistance, and technical support on software
products to include Microsoft Office Suite, IE, ActiveCard etc
Provides server troubleshooting, account creation, and account management
in a Windows Server 2003 environment
Troubleshoots DOD CAC authentication (PKI)
Provides Windows security patching
Maintain Security, Hardware and Software database inventories to provide
the customer with Security compliance and an accurate account of their
supported equipment

Requirements
Qualifications:
MS Exchange 2003
Server Administration
Microsoft Active Directory Administration
Helpdesk and hardware/software troubleshooting of Macintosh and Windows
Desktops and Servers using and implementing industry standards and/or
best practices
Candidate must be able to lift and transport PC's to various buildings
on the laboratory
Good communication skills required, must be customer service oriented
Must be able to work in a team environment and assist other team members
to meet deadlines
Position requires an active Secret Security Clearance
Additional Skills:
MCSE with hands on experience as a Windows Systems Administrator desired
ADP Security and PKI experience desired
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation
