LabCorp is seeking
a Specimen Accessioner to work out of our S. Charleston branch. This
is a full time, benefited position working 30 hours/week from 5PM-11:30PM
Monday-Friday. However, candidate must be able tow ork overtime with
little or no advance notice. Benefits

Basic
Functions:
Prepares laboratory
specimens for designated departments/locations prior to lab analysis
and testing
Unpacks specimens from branches and routes by type to various staging
areas
Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated departments
or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separation
of serum, and blood smears
Aliquots sample for department
Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and documents
problem specimens
Verification and data entry of requisitions
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass data entry skills assessment
Preference given to individuals with medical/science background or
related education
Must be comfortable working with specimens (i.e. blood, urine)
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, production driven environment
