Overview:
Responsible for the development, administration, and monitoring of school
based nursing program. Responsibilities:
Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of
school health program goals, objectives and procedures in cooperation
with school personnel and community resources. Initiates, maintains,
and continuously reviews student health records. Implements all screening
programs. Develops and maintains a system for providing first aide
emergency care. Administers medications and treatments to students
per physician's order.
job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a current license. Two years experience
in school nursing or pediatric nursing required. Demonstrated effectiveness
in program/project management. Mandatory license as a School Nurse
in accordance with the Indiana Department of Education. CPR certified.
Basic Aide Training certified. Member of Indiana Associate of School
Nurses.*
