Description
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to perform
retail brokerage activities, for a variety of properties including
shopping centers, as directed by the Director of Retail Leasing. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Customary brokerage activities
including but not limited to, landlord representations, tenant representation,
and vacant land out-parcel leases or sales. • Use market knowledge
in providing a leasing strategy that outlines targeted uses within
a Center after an anchor(s) has been identified: i.e. dry cleaner,
restaurant, salon, etc. • Canvas the market for prospects for
assigned listings by telephone, cold calling, or follow up of direct
mail solicitations. • Identify and qualify potential tenants
to lease space for Company, Partnership and Third-Party owned retail
projects. • Initiate, negotiate and close leases or sale contracts
with tenants at retail projects for space or out parcels. Identify
and track exclusions and prohibitions. • Work closely with the
brokerage community to elicit their involvement in the marketing of
assigned listings. • Provide up-to-date monthly leasing reports
that details status of deals being negotiated, space available and
update what transpired during the month relative to new prospects
what prospects are being targeted and how and what marketing activities
(i.e. brochures, mailings, ads) took place. Leasing Report format
to be provided and is due by the 10th of each month. • Draft
and prepare Letters of Intent working cooperatively with asset manager(s)
and/or development manager(s). • A more detailed list of job
responsibilities will be provided if an interview is scheduled.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this
job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

essential functions. Education and/or Experience: Three years of current
experience in Palm Beach / Treasure Coast retail leasing and education
or equivalent training, typically found in two or four year associate
degree or certification programs. Computer Skills: • Microsoft
Word • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Outlook • Internet
• Familiarity with reading an Argus Report • CoStar •
ProCalc OTHER ATTRIBUTES: A current, active Florida Real Estate Salesperson
License is required. Current ICSC membership is preferred.
