CHIEF OF STAFF for Telecommunications Company

Confidential Search ¡V reports to Chief Administrative Officer

ƒç You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the CEO¡¦s office to ensure appropriate time utilization of the CEO in relationship to external and internal requirements.

č You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to determine the most effective utilization of CEO time and presence. You must understand the overall scope and environment of the global business to give guidance to the CEO on recommended courses of action.

č You will create and aggregate all relevant materials, briefs and messaging for CEO communication with board, investor community, customers, and internal employee population.

č Successful candidates will listen closely at all meetings and aggregate actions for the CEO to take with his senior leadership team.

č You must understand business (preferably telecommunications) and financial metrics to assist the Senior Leadership Team during weekly operational reviews. A successful candidate will have a good grasp of numbers and how they relate to business.

č You must be available to work with the CEO and staff on multiple assignments, both large and small, that may occur on a 24 x 7 schedule, day, nights, or weekends.

č You must be an independent worker, who can handle tasks extremely quickly and accurately within a high-pressure environment. You must be able to handle stressful situations and varying personalities with measured calmness and decisiveness.

č Due to the multitude of tasks and lack of general, day-to-day work patterns, the successful candidate must be guided by a strong common sense.

č The job demands a fair degree of travel (>50% of time), evenly split between domestic (within the United States) and international business trips.

č You must have strong writing and communication skills in English, and also be adept at reading nuance and body language.

č Successful performance within the role would include 1-2 year term as Chief of Staff, followed by opportunities for stretch leadership roles within the company.
