License Description:
Applicant requirements for Registered Medical Assistant:
18 years of age or older
good moral character
high school graduate or equivalent
graduate of approved medical assisting program or military training
program OR employed as a medical assistant for a minimum of 5 years
pass exam Applicant
requirements for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):
graduate from a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or the Accrediting
Bureau of Health Education Schools
pass a written exam
Examination:
Type: Computerized or written
When: Arrange with local testing center
Where: Pearson VUE testing centers
Repeats: 2 times per application
