Summary of
Duties
The Member Service Representative - Call Center provides excellence
in service to members by utilizing in-depth knowledge of the cooperative's
processes and procedures. MSR's must be able to accurately and efficiently
satisfy all member requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
*Assist members with information regarding Bluebonnet services &
member accounts using SAP and UAI software.
*Process member orders and changes according to established departmental
policies and procedures.
*Research and resolve billing disputes and questions.
*Work emergency call duty as required to assist members with inquiries
related to service outages.
*Possess a general understanding of Bluebonnet policies and procedures
and apply that knowledge when communicating with members.
*Performs any other duties as assigned.
*Research information when needed for the member.
*Support the Mission and Vision Statements of Bluebonnet.
*Maintain daily cash drawer and balance within 15 minutes at the end
of their shift.
Education
and Experience
*Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
*One plus years of prior experience in a member service role in a
high volume, member oriented call center is preferred.

Skills, Abilities
*Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
*Must be dependable and prompt at all times.
*Must possess excellent member service related experience, with a
real desire to serve our members.
*Ability to work a varied and fluctuating schedule (e.g. shift work,
call duty, extended hours, weekends, holidays, overtime) as required.
*Must possess excellent interpersonal phone skills related to the
communication and interaction with employees and members.
*Must have the ability to handle escalated calls in a professional
manner.
*Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
*Must possess the ability to organize, plan & prioritize multiple
responsibilities with minimal supervision.
*Must have the ability to successfully balance and complete numerous
tasks and job functions simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
*Must have the ability to properly utilize English grammar in both
oral and written communications.
*Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
*Must possess basic math skills--addition, subtraction, percentages.
Physical
Demands and Working Conditions:
*Works indoors in a general office setting--uses computer, calculator,
copier machine, etc.
*Works extended hours on certain days depending upon the departmental
needs.
*Must be able to attend seminars as the need arises from time to time.
*Must be able to communicate with members and others that may contact
the cooperative.
*Must be able to sit for periods of time during the course of the
day doing typing and computer work.
*Work station must not be left unattended during office hours without
securing relief.
*Wear appropriate clothing and attire consistent with the position
for a professional appearance.
*Must be able to travel to all Bluebonnet Member Service Centers at
any given time.
