Description
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
* Maintaining records by documenting work completed, service calls and
inspections
* Proper preparation for service and/or installation by reviewing work
orders, gathering equipment, supplies, and tools
* Installing equipment, installing security wiring/cabling; programming
and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards
* Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, legal
regulations and following company safety guidelines.
Keeping products ready by maintaining inventory of vehicle stock, verifying
receipt and securing
* Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities,
reading technical publications, technical and installation manuals
*Plan network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals,
and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies,
materials, and tools, assessing installation site; preparing an installation
diagram.
*Establish voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating,
and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers,
switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression
systems; building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections;
programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following
industry standards; activating remote access tools; coordinating with
contractors.
*Document networks by labeling routing equipment and cables; recording
configuration diagrams and specifications.
Preference will be given to those willing to travel within the continental
US
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
Training, certification, and/or experience on structured cabling,
access control, telephone systems, CCTV and fiber optic systems is
required (Preference is for Siemon, Belden, Panduit, Mohawk, Commscope,
Corning and GE Security (systems and products), DSX, Axis, etc.
*Ability to demonstrate
strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
*Skill to work effectively with general contractors, consultants,
and end users.
*Ability to complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner, including
service orders, Time Sheets, expense reports, etc
* Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with AGC administration,
engineering, project management, and sales personnel.
*You must have your own vehicle, in good working condition and suitable
for this position. You will be compensated for the use of your vehicle.
*You must have your own industry standard hand tools.
*A minimum of three years experience in the above areas is preferred
but we will consider
all experience levels
