Description
EMC Corporation

This information
technology professional will lead a team of subject matter experts
in the design, development and delivery of training and assessments
for EMC Global Services, their partners and customers. Courses in
the curriculum will include both classroom training and eLearning.
Focused in one or more disciplines of EMC technology (storage platforms,
storage networking, business continuity, backup/recovery, archive,
virtualization and/or application integration) and aligned to one
or more functions (pre-sales, implementation, administration and/or
support) this manager will work with and lead corporate and field
stakeholders to ensure that curriculum and certification exams are
technically accurate and relevant to the current and future field
environment.
PRINCIPAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages and owns development of curriculum and/or programs
through the assessment of requirements, design, development and execution
of best fit education solutions for EMC Global Services (field), their
partners and customers.
• Responsible for optimal allocation and project management
of all resources (employees, contractors, equipment and /or facilities)
to meet multiple education development and delivery priorities and
requirements.
• Measures and monitors curriculum and assessments to ensure
technical currency and relevance; takes actions to continuously improve/update
curriculum.
• Represents functional area of responsibility on behalf of
Education Services, including formal presentations, meetings, conferences
and /or web events.
• Handles day to day people management including salary and
performance reviews, hiring, coaching, mentoring, employee development.
• Subject matter expertise within team's area of focus (technical
presales, professional services, and/or customer support for one or
more areas of EMC technology).
• Presales technical/systems engineering or IT professional
services/consulting skills.
• Expertise in training design, development and delivery.
• Ability to effectively manage all elements of multiple projects
and programs (people, process, technology).
• Experience in leading teams and managing technical professionals.
• Superior communication skills.
• Sense or urgency with demonstrated ability to independently
drive initiatives.
• Certificate(s): EMC proven Professional Certification preferred.
