Job Summary: The
District Database/Web Developer is responsible for developing,
implementing, and maintaining the district databases and websites, providing
input on updated design, ensuring easy and friendly user access, and
improving
district communication efficiency via the website. Qualifications
At least two years experience with related skills and knowledge in
web design
and management
At least two years experience with SQL
At least two year of programming experience
At least two years experience in computer troubleshooting and repair
Experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP
Experience with latest HTML, JavaScript and related internet technologies
Experience with Adobe Contribute, Dreamweaver and/or other content
management
systems
Experience with Crystal Reports and Crystal Reports Enterprise Server
Experience with Microsoft Share Point Server
Skills necessary for effective and professional communication with
information
technology staff members, technology vendors, school district personnel,
students, and community members
Ability to participate and contribute effectively in a team environment
Ability to manage time and duties efficiently and responsibly in an
unaccompanied environment
Leadership qualities necessary to accomplish the duties and responsibilities
listed below
MAJOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Database Development
1. Design, develop, and maintain district data warehouse; including
database
table design and schemas
2. Design and develop mechanisms to extract data from the District's
various
databases and populate the data warehouse
3. Use SQL, scripting languages, and other appropriate technologies
to access
and transform data for use in the District's web site, testing, and
internal
and external reporting
4. Assess new technologies and standards and make recommendations
for
strategies to enhance and improve the data warehouse Web
Development
5. Design, develop, and maintain the district websites; including
navigation,
required page elements, and design features
6. Design, develop, and maintain the district web portal; including
user
authentication, session management and content and management features
7. Design, develop, and maintain database driven web forms and applications
8. Assist in the creation of policies related to the safety, privacy
