Our very busy (as
we have decided not to participate in the recession and are continuing
to grow while others fail!) commercial sign company is seeking a motivated,
energetic, can-do, detail oriented person to join our Sales Team. We
sell commercial, retail, digital and architectural signage and displays,
as well as many other products and services throughout the state for
an established client base, while also handling many small to mid-size
jobs for other types of business entitites. We
currently have opportunities for those who are qualified and experienced
in commercial/digital sign sales and project management. We are open
to considering those who are ready for mid-level, or high level sales
positions provided that you have some significant experience and/or
knowledge of the sign business. Sorry, but we are not interviewing
those who do not have direct industry specific experience.
Your primary responsibility will be to achieve sales
production. You need to have the ability to seek out new clients,
obtain new business, fill a personal pipeline, and constantly achieve
your goals. In addition you need to be able to competently handle
the related responsibilities inherent in this position including not
just the actual sale, but also delegating and managing the sales/completion
process which includes the surveying of buildings, locations and jobs;
researching records; obtaining permits and dealing with government
agencies; taking photographs, keeping accurate records, consulting
with clients, verification of job details and full charge responsability
for managing complex projects involving extensive fabrication and
installation. Of course, you will be provided with extensive management
support as well as a team committed to helping you throughout this
process.

You must have reliable, economical transportation
as your job duties will involve traveling all over the Valley (and
sometimes the state), and be comfortable (and capable) of working
indoors and outdoors on a regular basis (including during the summer
heat). You need to be prepared to occasionally do some travel, and
may be infrequently asked to be away for brief periods when servicing
outlying areas. You should be comfortable with using small tools,
measuring, calculating and using computers and software for data entry.
The ability to sketch out casual site plans and building elevations
will be very useful.
Attention to detail, a genuine commitment to customer
service, timeliness and the ability to multi-task and be very organized
are all required attributes. It's also very important that you be
able to work as part of a team and be able to provide direction to
others in a collaborative way. You'll work on a regular basis with
our clients, as well as with many members of our fabrication and installation
team.
Most importantly, you should have the ability to learn
new things quickly and be goal oriented and self-disciplined, with
the ablity to take the inititive and find solutions with out the need
of constant direction and monitoring by others.
This is a full-time, long-term position that is ideal
for a person looking for advancement. This position provides steady
work with lots of variety and a fast pace - the work is interesting,
and you will not often be office bound.
