3 CURRENT MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS IN Southern California!

The senior manufacturing engineer shall support the business in areas of new product development; process improvement; daily production support; project manage key programs; technical authority in metal processes; analyze and interpret technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, etc.) and create shop routings, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high quality product.

• Based on requirements from customer orders, plan sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly of products.
• Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible to available machines.
• Specifies, design and/or procures special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement with in budgeted cost and time.
• Programs CNC machines to effectively and efficiently produce desired product.
• Participate in the Company’s Corrective Action and MRB Boards.
• Analyze and resolve fabrication and tooling issues to avoid problems.
• Create new or modify existing manufacturing drawings using CAD methodology.
Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time and cycle times.
• Complies with all company policies/procedures.
• Complies with all military and contractual requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and 1+ years of hands on manufacturing experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment with high mix / low to mid volume production rates.

Extensive machining background in the production of close tolerance highly precision products involving various types of metal alloys. CAD/CAM experience with exposure in working with NX, Solid Works or Master Cam preferred.

Uses time effectively, prioritizes and organizes work flow; can orchestrate multiple activities at once. Agility and personal adaptability with the ability to successfully management multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.
• Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data. Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
