ProLogis, a Fortune 500 company, is the leading provider of distribution
facilities and services with distribution facilities owned, managed
and under development in North America, Europe and Asia.
ProLogis is seeking an Information Management System Administrator at
our Corporate Headquarters in Denver. Our office is located near Pena
Blvd. and I-70. The Information Management System Administrator uses
functional, technical and business skills to support critical technology
solutions including CRM, SharePoint and ProClarity products, custom
applications and data warehouse solutions. The Information Management
System Administrator understands the business mission of the systems
for which he or she is responsible, and combines that understanding
with system, application and database management skills to provide consistent,
high-quality technical support and maintenance. Duties
and responsibilities include the following:
Learn and document
system operational requirements and processes and match the processes
to relevant business cycles to insure high availability for the end-user
community
Identify and document typical support issues and reduce their incidence
and/or train first-level support to resolve the issue
Ensure scheduled application maintenance tasks – both automated
and manual –complete successfully and timely per documented
policies and procedures.
Install, configure, administer and maintain SharePoint applications
and farms. Use appropriate tools to backup and recover SharePoint
solutions.
Collaborate with Application Developers to migrate software releases
to production within the change control process framework
Respond to escalated support questions from the Help Desk
Engage colleagues, partners and vendors appropriately to escalate
support issues
Insure that application support processes are integrated with ProLogis’s
overall IT SOx compliance documentation and audit processes
Prepare requested system metrics reporting for management review
Database Support
Ensure scheduled
database maintenance tasks - both automated and manual – complete
successfully and timely per documented policy
Install, configure, administer and maintain database environments
for development, testing and production
Restore data and databases
Review and analyze database logs to identify potential issues
Ensure optimal database performance including query performance, data
allocation, etc.
Prepare requested database metrics reporting for management review
Operations
Learn and document system architecture and identify system dependencies
Plan and schedule system downtime and communicate such to concerned
user and IT stakeholders
Perform Microsoft Windows network and server administration, including:
system maintenance and health checking, DHCP and DNS configuration
and troubleshooting, system monitoring and capacity planning.
Install, configure, administer and maintain Microsoft IIS web site
Collaborate with infrastructure, operations and application development
teams to ensure system recoverability Collaborate with infrastructure
and operations teams to identify potential impact of infrastructure
environment changes on supported systems
Establish system monitors and alerts to predict and/or identify conditions
which might adversely affect system service levels
